4. PUBLIC COMMENT

The public is invited to speak for up to three minutes on any subject of which the Town of Weston has authority. However, no discussion or action, by law, may be taken on the topic unless the item is on the agenda or until properly posted on a future agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information in response to a citizen's inquiry or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry.

  1. Minutes of April 14, 2026 Regular Meeting

 

6. INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION ITEMS

      a.    Consider and act to approve an Amending Resolution R-2026-04-01 appointing the authorized representatives of the public funds investment                 pool known as TexSTAR Short Term Assert Reserve Fund (“TexSTAR”) to Matt Marchiori as Authorized Representative, and removing Kristina                       Dean, Jerry Randall, and Suzanne Scott.

      b.    Consider and act to approve an Amending Resolution R-2026-04-03 appointing the authorized representatives of the public funds investment                 pool known as Local Government Investment Cooperative (“LOGIC”) to Matt Marchiori as Authorized Representative, and removing Kristina                       Dean, Jerry Randall, and Suzanne Scott.

      c.    Consider and act to approve a Resolution R-2026-04-02 authorizing the temporary closure of a portion of FM 543 between FM 455 and Weston               Road for the purpose of holding annual events and festivals. (Mayor)

      d.    Consider and act to approve an Ordinance O-2026-04-01 redesignating the Town of Weston back to the “City of Weston”. (Mayor)

      e.    Discussion on TXDOT’s FM 455 feasibility study from Shady Brook Lane to US 75 virtual public meeting and scheduling of a Town of Weston                     public meeting to receive comment and input from the public regarding FM 455 re-route within Town of Weston incorporated limits.

If during the course of the meeting covered by this notice, the Town Council should determine that a closed or executive meeting or session of the Town Council or a consultation with the attorney for the Town should be held or is required, then such closed or executive meeting or session or consultation with attorney is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Cote 551.001 et seq., will be held by the Town Council at the date, hour and place given in this notice or as soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this notice as the Town Council may conveniently meet in such closed or executive meeting or session or consult with the attorney for the Town concerning any and all subjects and for any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including but not limited to, the following sanctions and purposes:

551.087 Deliberation regarding Economic Development Negotiations 551.071 Private consultation with the attorney for the Town

551.072 Discussing purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property 551.074 Discussing personnel or to hear complaints against personnel

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that this meeting was posted on the bulletin board at Weston City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours prior to the schedule time of said meeting.

Town Council meetings bring together citizens of many varied interests and ideas. To insure fairness and orderly meetings, the TownCouncil asks that all cellular phones or audible beepers be silenced while Town Council is in session.  All persons should refrain from private conversation, eating, drinking and smoking while in the Council Chamber.  Citizens and other visitors attending Town Council meetings shall observe the same rules of propriety, decorum and good conduct applicable to members of the Town Council.  No one shall delay or interrupt the proceedings, or refuse to obey the orders of the presiding officer.
