4. PUBLIC COMMENT

The public is invited to speak for up to three minutes on any subject of which the City of Weston has authority. However, no discussion or action, by law, may be taken on the topic unless the item is on the agenda or until properly posted on a future agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information in response to a citizen’s inquiry or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry.

5. CONSENT ITEMS

a. Minutes of July 28, 2026, Regular Meeting

6. INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION ITEMS

a. Consider and act to approve Resolution No. R-2026-08-01 authorizing the temporary closure of a portion of FM 543 (Main Street)                        between Short Street and East Main Street for the purpose of hosting an event.


        b. Consider and act to authorize the Mayor to execute the Release of Collateral submitted by BOK Financial for the pledged security                    maturing August 15, 2026.


       c. Consider and act to approve and authorize the Mayor to execute the FY 2027 Interlocal Agreement for Animal Control Services                           between Collin County and the City of Weston and authorize the Mayor to take all steps necessary to effectuate the same.


      d. Receive and acknowledge the 2026 Anticipated Collection Rate Certification from the Collin County Tax Assessor-Collector.

      a. Review and discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Budget and take any action that may be required.

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that this meeting was posted on the bulletin board at Weston City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours prior to the schedule time of said meeting.

To insure fairness and orderly meetings, the City Council asks that all cellular phones be silenced while City Council is in session.  All persons should refrain from private conversation, eating, drinking and smoking while in the Council Chamber.  Citizens and other visitors attending City Council meetings shall observe the same rules of propriety, decorum and good conduct applicable to members of the City Council.  No one shall delay or interrupt the proceedings, or refuse to obey the orders of the presiding officer.
