The public is invited to speak for up to three minutes on any subject of which the City of Weston has authority. However, no discussion or action, by law, may be taken on the topic unless the item is on the agenda or until properly posted on a future agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information in response to a citizen’s inquiry or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry.

6. INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION ITEMS

a. Consider and act to approve and authorize the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Weston and Collin County authorizing the County, through the County Tax Assessor-Collector, to do and perform all acts necessary and proper to assess and collect the Taxing Entity’s ad valorem taxes and authorize the Mayor to take all steps necessary to effectuate the same.

  b. Consider and act to approve Resolution No. R-2026-07-03 accepting and adopting the administrative verification findings of the City Secretary that a petition for the release of property from the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction submitted pursuant to Subchapter D of Chapter 42 of the Texas Local Government Code (“Chapter 42”) fails to satisfy the petition requirements outlined in Section 42.104 of Chapter 42; declaring the City’s action was timely and the petition has not triggered an automatic statutory release pursuant to Chapter 42; authorizing the City Secretary to issue and execute a Notice of Statutory Insufficiency of said petition; reserving all corporate rights and jurisdiction; and providing an effective date.

  c. Consider and act to approve and authorize the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 4 to the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Weston and Collin County for environmental services and authorize the Mayor to take all steps necessary to effectuate the same.

  d. Consider and act to accept Municipal Audit and Financial Report FY2021 prepared by Fox Byrd & Company, P.C.

  e. Consider and act to accept Municipal Audit and Financial Report FY2022 prepared by Fox Byrd &Company, P.C.

  f. Consider and act to accept Municipal Audit and Financial Report FY2023 prepared by Fox Byrd & Company, P.C.

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that this meeting was posted on the bulletin board at Weston City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours prior to the schedule time of said meeting.

City Council meetings bring together citizens of many varied interests and ideas.
