The public is invited to speak for up to three minutes on any subject of which the City of Weston has authority. However, no discussion or action, by law, may be taken on the topic unless the item is on the agenda or until properly posted on a future agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information in response to a citizen’s inquiry or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry.

6. INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION ITEMS

 
  1. Consider and act to approve and authorize the Mayor to execute the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Weston and Collin County for road improvements in accordance with Court Order No. 2021-109-02-01 and authorize the Mayor to take all steps necessary to effectuate the same.

     

  2. Consider and act to approve and authorize the Mayor to execute the Interlocal Agreement for animal shelter services between Collin County and the City of Weston and authorize the Mayor to take all steps necessary to effectuate the same.

     

  3. Consider and act to approve Resolution No. R-2026-06-02 authorizing the Mayor to evaluate, and to initiate protests, public comments, and contested case hearing requests with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regarding wastewater treatment plant and related permit applications affecting the City, its municipal facilities, and its sewer CCN No. 20999, as the Mayor deems necessary and as advised by the City's engineering and legal consultants and/or neighboring governmental entities; authorizing the City Engineer and City Attorney to act as alternates for such purposes at the Mayor's direction; and providing an effective date.

     

  4. Consider and act on any item in Executive Session, if needed.


7. COUNCIL AND MAYOR ANNOUNCEMENTS/COMMENTS

 

8. EXECUTIVE SESSION

Pursuant to Texas Government Code, Annotated, Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Open Meetings Act (the “Act”), Council may recess into Executive Session (closed meeting) to discuss any of the items identified in this agenda, or any of the items identified below, concerning one or more of the following:

a. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.071
- Consultation with City Attorney for the purposes of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney about pending or contemplated litigation.

i.  To consult with City Attorney regarding contemplated litigation related to former City Secretary: Suzanne Scott DiNicola.

b. Tex. Gov't Code § 551.087 - To discuss matters relating to certain economic development negotiations. 

i.  Discuss commercial or financial information received from development negotiations. 

c. Tex. Gov't Code § 551.074 - To deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee; or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer(s) or employee(s).

i.  Potential candidate/job description for a public works role.

 

Reconvene into Regular Session and take any action necessary as a result of the Executive Session.


9. ADJOURN

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that this meeting was posted on the bulletin board at Weston City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours prior to the schedule time of said meeting.
