IN ACCORDANCE WITH TEXAS GOVERNOR GREG ABBOTT’S EXECUTIVE ORDER GA 29, AND FOR THE WELFARE OF ALL OF THOSE ATTENDING COUNCIL MEETINGS, EVERY PERSON AGE 10 AND OVER IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE COVERING OVER THE NOSE AND MOUTH WHEN ENTERING CITY HALL (certain exceptions apply).  DURING COUNCIL MEETINGS, ALL ATTENDEES NOT OF THE SAME HOUSEHOLD MUST REMAIN A MINIMUM OF SIX-FEET (6’) APART.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION.

The City of Weston will hold an election November 2, 2021, electing one (1) Mayor and two (2) Aldermen.

July 17, 2021 - First Day to File for Place on the General Election Ballot

August 16, 2021 5PM - Last Day to File for Place on the General Election Ballot

August 20, 2021 - Last Day to File a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy

October 4, 2021 - Last Day to Register to Vote

November 2, 2021 - Election Day

SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS (NEW)

On August 24, 2020, The Collin County Commissioners Court approved the Collin CARES Small Business Grant Program, setting aside $15 million of CARES Act funds for businesses physically operating within Collin County, exclusive of the City of Dallas. 
 
Up to a $25,000 grant per business will be awarded for eligible businesses that experienced a gross revenue loss of greater than 15% due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible businesses will receive up to $5,000 unless documentation is provided showing actual incurred costs of up to the $25,000 maximum. These grants are taxable.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE

On May 11, the Collin County Commissioners Court approved the distribution of direct financial assistance for housing, utilities, and groceries for qualifying Collin County residents.  APPLY
